"Institute "KazNIPIEnergoprom" JSC (KNEP JSC) is a research and design and survey institute of industrial energy:
"Institute "KazNIPIEnergoprom" JSC (KNEP JSC) is a research and design and survey institute of industrial energy:
dealing with the whole range of pre-design and design works on expanding existing and creating new energy sources in the field of centralized heat supply of different levels of complexity, including technically and technologically advanced facilities of the first and second levels of responsibility;
performing works and rendering services in the scope of environmental protection on environmental design, regulation for Category I;
providing engineering services in the sphere of architectural, urban planning and construction activities on the implementation of author's supervision over construction; - providing consulting services on projects for construction of facilities.
KNEP JSC owns the Category 1 Licenses to perform design and survey activities in the field of architecture, urban planning and construction. It is the successor of the Central Asian branch of the Union State Research and Design Institute for Industrial Power Engineering and Rational Utilization of Fuel, Electric and Heat Energy in Industry (CAB “VNIPIEnergoprom”).
The Institute is one of the shareholders and a permanent member of the Kazakhstan Electricity Association (https://kea.kz/) and is also a member of the National Association of Designers of the Republic of Kazakhstan (https://napr.kz/), the Republican Union of Designers of Kazakhstan (http://rspk.kz/) and the Union of Power Engineers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
KNEP JSC owns the Category 1 Licenses to perform design and survey activities in the field of architecture, urban planning and construction. It is the successor of the Central Asian branch of the Union State Research and Design Institute for Industrial Power Engineering and Rational Utilization of Fuel, Electric and Heat Energy in Industry (CAB “VNIPIEnergoprom”).
The Institute is one of the shareholders and a permanent member of the Kazakhstan Electricity Association (https://kea.kz/) and is also a member of the National Association of Designers of the Republic of Kazakhstan (https://napr.kz/), the Republican Union of Designers of Kazakhstan (http://rspk.kz/) and the Union of Power Engineers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Mr. Medetov has been working in the energy sector for 37 years. Prior to joining “Institute “KazNIPIEnergoprom” JSC, Mr. Medetov had been Director of Energy Design Centre in “KING” JSC (2009-2019), General Director in “AREVA Kazakhstan” LLP (2004-2008), Director of Representative Office “AREVA T&D SA” (2003-2008), Deputy Chairman of the Board, Chief Portfolio Manager in ABN AMRO Asset Management Kazakhstan (1998-2003), postgraduate student, assistant of the Department of “Electrical Systems and Networks” in Almaty Power Energy Institute (1989-1997). He holds a Diploma of Electrical Engineer from the Almaty Institute of Power Engineering and Communications, and a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand.

Prior to joining “Institute “KazNIPIEnergoprom” JSC, Mr. Abdullayev held senior positions in construction and engineering project management.

Chief Project Engineer
In 1987, Viktor Kulik began his working life in “Institute “KazNIPIEnergoprom” JSC. Since 1992 up to now, he has been appointed to the position of Chief Project Engineer. In 1985 he graduated from the Alma-Ata Power Engineering Institute, specializing in “Thermal Power Plants”.
